Kate is a research scientist within the ADAS Soils and Nutrients team with expertise in soil and nutrient management and reducing diffuse pollution of air (e.g. nitrous oxide and ammonia) and water (e.g. nitrate losses) from agricultural systems. Her current role includes identification of funding opportunities, proposal development, data analysis and interpretation, reviewing literature, experimental protocol development, co-ordination of field work, report and scientific paper writing, contract and project management and dissemination of research.
Kate is a Full member of the British Soil Science Society (M.I. Soil Sci.) and a committee member of the Association of Applied Biologists (AAB) Cropping and the Environment (CATE) group.
