Rainwater harvesting – Now is the time
According to weather forecasters, it is highly likely that the summer of 2023 will be hotter and therefore possibly drier, than last year.
In order to save mains water, and reduce the risk of extraction sources drying up, it is really an essential to harvest the rain while you can.
Harvested rainwater can be used untreated for irrigation, wash-down of livestock buildings, livestock drinking water, etc. It can be used from the tanks to fill bowsers for transport to other areas, and in a worst-case scenario, will provide extra firefighting water.
On farms there are usually plenty of roofs which provide water runoff and all that is needed is the pipework, filters and tanks to harvest and store this.
Tanks-UK have years of experience in designing and supplying rainwater harvest tanks for the agricultural sector. We also offer an installation service, using our competent and experienced installers.
We can provide single tank installations if space is at a premium, or several tanks. With multiple tanks, they can be separate standalone or they can be linked in a series.
Rainwater harvesting can also be used for domestic installations, for purposes such as toilet flushing. Ask us for advice on the best system for domestic purposes.
