GST Biostar is an eco-friendly star weeder developed by GST Denmark for effective mechanical weed control in both organic and conventional farming. The machine works by breaking the soil surface and loosening the top layer with the outer tips of the stars, which removes or covers weeds in their early growth stages without damaging the crops. This improves soil aeration and promotes optimal growing conditions for plants.

GST Biostar can be used in a wide range of crops, including maize, cereals, fava beans, potatoes, wheat, rapeseed, and sugar beets, and it is not dependent on row spacing or crop type. It is designed to operate at speeds of up to 25 km/h, making it one of the fastest weed control machines on the market. Yield loss is minimal, often less than 1% per pass.
